That question harder to answer than you’d think.
I really enjoy my freedom that was once taken from me. I like that I don’t have to answer to anyone. I don’t have to debate with anyone. I don’t have to try and please anyone. I can just live life my way on my time.
I do miss companionship. I mean I got married to have a partner to take on this crazy world with.
I miss sharing stories about my day. I miss watching tv and movies alongside someone and discussing them afterwards. I miss falling asleep with someone by my side. I miss eating meals with someone. Those are the biggest things I miss. If I think too long, I’ll come up with such minor things.
To answer the prompt at hand, I don’t think I’m ready to date… at least not for love. I’m ready to date to find a friend and see what comes of it.
